Doctors Outpatient Surgery Center meets the definition of a “physician-owned surgery center” under 42 CFR 489.3. A list of physician owners or owners who are immediate family members of physicians is available upon request at the front desk.
In the Center, if an emergency medical condition arises, the following measures will be instituted: The Center is able to provide basic and advanced life support and stabilize medical emergencies. If transfer of a patient to a nearby facility is deemed the appropriate course of action, all information regarding the patient’s status will be communicated verbally and in writing to the emergency personnel transferring the patient and also to the receiving facility. Doctors Outpatient Surgery Center maintains a transfer agreement with another hospital, which has an emergency department staffed 24/7 by on-site physicians.
You have the right to choose the provider of your health care services. You also have the right to choose the facility where those services will be provided.
